Dois Pans e Duas Medidas

Não sei quantos de vocês sabem que os Jogos Pan-americanos começaram nesta última sexta-feira, em Guadalajara no México.
Caso vocês não se recordem, a última edição foi no Rio, o Pan de 2007. Por conta desse Pan o Brasil se mobilizou por anos, fez aquele carnaval, gastou fortunas, fez anúncios e criou mídias especiais ressaltando a importância da competição para nosso esporte e do “legado” dos jogos para a população.
Pois bem, como os direitos da transmissão dos jogos de 2011 foram adquiridos por uma rede de TV menos famosa, nós estamos praticamente passando “batido” pelo PAN de 2011, com pouco conteúdo jornalístico (falado ou escrito) sendo veiculado, pois até a informação parece que é boicotada!
Isso me leva à seguinte conclusão: os jogos variam de importância somente em função da rede de TV que compra os direitos!
Para um País que sempre valorizou a competição do continente (na qual nos saímos melhor que nas olimpíadas ou em mundiais) e para quem vai sediar a Copa e os Jogos Olímpicos de 2016, é no mínimo de se estranhar que não queiramos acompanhar e analisar a performance de nossos atletas, inclusive para aprimorar nossa preparação.
Infelizmente aqui é sempre assim: os interesses comerciais e políticos estão sempre à frente dos verdadeiros interesses da educação, da cultura, do esporte e do lazer, pois são usados 2 pesos e duas medidas, dependendo de quem está no “comando”. No caso, dois Pans e duas medidas.
