Não sou crítica da tecnologia, mas também não sou fanática pela absoluta conectividade que parece ter assolado o mundo. Uso meu celular para eventualmente encontrar pessoas quando estou viajando, emergências em geral, mas praticamente não recebo chamadas por estar sempre ou disponível em meu escritório, ou em minha casa (para amigos e parentes) ou então, como deve ser, indisponível mesmo! Não quero ser interrompida a qualquer hora por qualquer pessoal quando estou trabalhando, em reunião com clientes ou em paz na minha casa, ou na minha hora de descanso no hotel.
Mas eu sei que sou quase uma exceção e uma das razões deve ser a minha faixa etária (minha geração usa, em geral, menos apetrechos high techs), ou o fato de que eu tenho um escritório fixo que pode “me achar”, o que me permite usar meu celular como penso que ele deveria ser considerado: como uma ferramenta a meu serviço.
Conheço gente que se considera viciado em celular, que não consegue ficar desconectado de jeito nenhum e isso para os exageros é um pulo. Sou testemunha de verdadeiros absurdos virtuais que são, na verdade, pura falta de bom senso, para não falar de educação.
Pessoas que atendem telefone ou usam seus equipamentos nas situações mais esdrúxulas e constrangedoras (banheiros públicos, no meio da noite em viagem de ônibus, durante palestras, no cinema etc) às vezes são valorizadas nos anúncios de TV (lembra do estagiário Dudu que vira Carlos Eduardo porque acha na web a resposta de um problema?), ao invés de criticadas, por terem até esse “diferencial de qualidade do profissional”.
Só que este tipo de uso da tecnologia é, na maioria das vezes, uma enorme demonstração de falta de capacidade de concentração e até de respeito mesmo com quem, por exemplo, está na reunião concentrado, ou expondo problemas enquanto alguns participantes estão twitando seus e-mails particulares ou navegando na internet.
Parece que eu estou por fora do mundo por achar, afinal, que esta necessidade de conexão está levando as pessoas a ficaram desconectadas….uma das outras! Acredito firmemente que estamos caminhando para um isolamento disfarçado pelos contatos superficiais que a nova tecnologia proporciona e que pode nos afastar, ou tirar a necessidade de conhecer as pessoas e de nos RELACIONARMOS com elas.
O argumento de que hoje as pessoas possuem muito mais contatos e amigos por causa das redes sociais não pode ser verdadeiro na medida em que houver a substituição da necessidade de saber, de discutir, de trocar opiniões, do olho no olho…pelo torpedo.
Eu vejo nas salas dos aeroportos cerca de 80% das pessoas absortas em seus smartfones, netbooks e tablets cuidando de coisas que nem sempre são urgentes, mas ocupando as mentes com o que antes era espaço e tempo para a leitura de um bom livro, ou para um daqueles bate-papos que fazem a vida valer a pena (para onde você vai? você é daqui? onde fica sua cidade? você conhece fulano?). Papos que nos fazem ter noção das diferenças, do mundo lá fora e ao mesmo tempo nos tornam todos mais próximos.
Conheço vários pais que morrem de medo de ficarem em um mesmo lugar com seus filhos caso não haja acesso à internet, ou luz elétrica, pois não teriam assunto para discutir, formas de distrair, ou maneiras de controlar os filhos, ou seja, não conseguem mais conviver (e aí estes aparelhos viram babás eletrônicas ou substituem um entretenimento mais saudável, ou o prazer de estar com a família)!
Meu neto (filho de meu enteado) que acabou de chegar de um ano de intercâmbio na Suíça confirmou que este é um fenômeno que não é brasileiro e não tem fronteiras. Ele esteve em 5 países europeus e viu isso em todo lugar e deu-me a prova que faltava de que a coisa fugiu do controle: jovens nas festas que ficam em uma sala sentados conversando… por twiter com outros jovens …que estão na mesma sala (física e não virtual) da festa!!!
Eu sei e reconheço muito bem o valor e a importância que o acesso às informações e ao mundo agregam ao processo educativo, ao trabalho, ou à vida das pessoas com a comodidade de saber de tudo e praticamente acabar com as distancias, mas o uso exagerado, até mesmo neurótico, da conectividade precisa ser repensado.
Caso contrário ainda vai chegar a hora em que será comum um casal, após uma relação carnal (e não virtual) sentar na cama, pegar o celular e twitar para o outro: Foi bom pra você?
