O Brasil é mesmo o país do futebol?

Eu sou uma das mulheres que, cada vez em maior número, acompanha, entende as regras e gosta de vários esportes. Eu assisto e gosto de quase todos, do futebol ao esqui, do boxe à ginástica artística, passando pelo sumô, futebol americano, automobilismo e ultimamente até MMA (culpa de meu marido que gosta e eu como adoro estar com ele vou aprendendo a gostar de outros esportes que antes eu não assistia). Quando estou fora do Brasil chego a acompanhar os jogos de inverno e até campeonato de dardos (Let’s play dards!!!). Já saí daqui exclusivamente para assistir às finais da Master Cup em Londres e ver o grande Roger Federer jogando com os melhores da temporada de 2009.
Há muito tempo fico surpresa com o absoluto e abrangente reconhecimento do talento dos jogadores de futebol brasileiros no exterior. Apesar de, pelos resultados do nosso volêi, achar que nascemos mais para jogar com as mãos do que com os pés, seja nas quadras ou nas praias, são os nossos ícones do futebol que encantam o mundo.
Motoristas de taxi, recepcionistas de hotel, policiais, guias, garçons, enfim, onde vou e alguém pergunta de onde somos, ouvimos logo: Ronaldo? Ronaldinho? Kaká? E se for alguém mais velho há a eterna reverência ao rei Pelé! Uma admiração genuína, por vezes quase invejosa, da imagem de um povo bom de bola e de festa, um povo feliz! É o que muitos realmente pensam…
Assistindo ontem à final da Liga dos Campeões da Europa, Barcelona X Manchester, além de um belo jogo e do show de Messi, não pude deixar de fazer algumas comparações e análises inevitáveis diante da proximidade da Copa de 2014 e das Olimpíadas de 2016 que serão sediadas aqui.
Em primeiro lugar vamos ao aspecto de logística e infraestrutura: nossos estádios são uma vergonha! Nenhum tem sequer metro acessível, o torcedor é tratado com absoluto desrespeito, sem direito ao conforto mínimo que se espera e que é dado em outros países até “menos ricos”, gramados piores do que os de muitas residências (lá até onde neva o gramado é melhor), vestiários ridículos, cambistas e sistemas de venda de ingressos torturantes e escorchantes!
Olhando do ponto de vista do evento em si, chamam a atenção a organização em tudo e a convivência de torcidas rivais. É verdade que há casos horríveis de violência em estádios e nas ruas em alguns dias de jogo de certos times no exterior, mas como lá se toma medidas, o jogo de ontem e a maioria dos jogos segue tranquila como não ocorreria em nenhuma grande final deste porte no Brasil.
É patente o respeito maior aos árbitros (não se vê jogador peitando, ou o jogador que parte para cima do juiz logo é enquadrado na Europa e fica mansinho…) mesmo quando erram, porque eles também erram lá, enquanto aqui não só os palavrões, mas o enfrentamento físico com os árbitros, juiz ou bandeirinha, é sistemático, quase sempre feito em grupo e de forma acintosa.
Os técnicos de lá vibram, cobram e dão orientações, mas nada parecido com o que os nossos fazem na beira do campo. Aquelas cenas patéticas. Parece que lá é um espetáculo, aqui é um guerra!

Por fim, o jogo! Qual time brasileiro joga hoje com a bola no chão, sem desperdiçar bolas alçadas na área sem qualquer efetividade, sem dar passe pro lado como único objetivo da maioria dos jogadores e sem buscar a falta (para matar a jogada, ou simular uma forçada para ganhar uma bola parada) já que há muito tempo os nossos times mais faltosos só levam vantagem e a sessão do cai-cai e do empurra-empurra é vergonhosa.
Temos jogadores talentosos? Até demais diante das condições em que esses jovens foram criados (a maioria na maior miséria) que só aparecem porque o tamanho da população e a quantidade de praticantes é que explicam, mesmo, este manancial de novos jogadores que surgem país afora, em especial nas peladas e nas quadras de futebol de salão que dão ao brasileiro essa ginga e esse drible curto que tanto espantam o mundo até hoje.
Terminou o jogo e pensei, sinceramente, que quando a TV 3 D for uma realidade acessível como é a TV de LCD hoje, com a violência no campo e fora dele e os tapetões, os nossos estádios, aqueles que forem finalizados para a Copa (quantos serão mesmo?) ficarão às moscas ou serão palco de shows de rock, porque de bom e organizado futebol é difícil de acreditar.
Não acho que devemos ver o nosso futebol e o carnaval como o circo de um povo sem pão. Eu acho que ambos são o espelho do que somos, do que aceitamos, do que permitimos fingindo que ainda somos muito melhor do que a realidade.
Podemos ganhar aqui e acolá alguns campeonatos e uma copa parece que apaga qualquer coisa, mas nada como uma partida como a de ontem para mostrar o nosso atraso. Até aquilo em que nós nos achamos os melhores teima em nos provar que estamos ficando para trás. Até no futebol!
